St. Michael’s is a Roman Catholic Primary School provided by the Diocese of Salford and is maintained by Bury Local Education Authority as a Voluntary Aided School. The School’s Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions.

All applications should be made online.
Once this has been done the supplementary form, Baptism Certificate and recent proof of address must be handed in at the School Office before the online submission deadline.

For Nursery and in year admissions, all the child’s details (Name, DOB, Address) plus parents name and contact information are held on a waiting list accessible by the office team.
We have two admissions for Nursery. Example: September for children born between 1 September 2019 and 31st August 2020 and January for our Rising 3’s born 1st September 2020 and 31st December 2020..
For in year admissions Reception to Year 6, if places are not immediately available, we will contact parents when a place becomes available. The school’s admissions criteria is applied to those on the waiting list and a place offered accordingly.
