At St Michael’s, our Year 3 Sacramental programme holds a special place in our hearts as a pivotal moment in our children’s spiritual journey. Rooted deeply in our Catholic faith and guided by our Mission Statement, we understand the profound significance of preparing our children to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. This programme is not just a series of lessons but a sacred opportunity for our children to deepen their relationship with God and the Catholic community.

Through thoughtful teachings, heartfelt prayers, and work with Father Joe, we aim to nurture a lifelong reverence for the sacraments and empower our children with a strong foundation in their faith. We believe that by embracing the Sacramental programme, our children not only grow closer to God but also cultivate a deeper sense of belonging within the Church, enriching their hearts, minds, and spirits for years to come.

There will be two introductory meetings – you can choose to come to either one of them. Your children do not need to attend.

Monday 17th November in St Michael’s Archangel Room at 6.30pm

Wednesday 19th November in St Bernadette’s church at 6.30pm

At the meeting we will be explaining how the programme works and sharing key dates with you. Shortly after these meetings we will be holding special celebration Masses for the children. Please make sure you attend this event to as it will mark the beginning of your child’s sacramental journey.

The Mass times are:

Sunday 30th November at St Michael’s church at 9.30am

Sunday 30th November at St Bernadette’s church at 11.00am
